A little insight into the blasting

Dustless blasting is a revolutionary surface preparation technique that combines water, abrasive media, and compressed air to efficiently remove coatings, corrosion, and contaminants from various surfaces. Unlike traditional sandblasting methods that produce clouds of dust and debris, dustless blasting uses water to encapsulate the abrasive, significantly reducing airborne particles and minimising environmental impact. Sandblasting has become the industry standard for both surface preparation and penetrative cleaning. Blast media has a thin membrane of water that is held on with surface tension, which initially helps the media pass through the system.

The water coating increases speed and mass of the media enhancing the force of impact. This is adjusted depending on the surface material.

When the media makes contact, the water still being held in by tension, continues to move and creates a shield that catches any dust or grit.
